Preliminary budget on harbor agenda

The Crescent City Harbor District continues to hunt for funding to complete the reconstruction of the inner boat basin. During tonight’s Harbor Commission meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the Flynn Center, the board will consider applying for a loan from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. FEMA and CalEMA covered the majority of the costs to rebuild the basin after it was damaged by a 2006 tsunami and destroyed by a 2011 tsunami. The commission will also consider adopting a preliminary budget for fiscal year 2012/2013.
