Two projects on Caltrans agenda for new year

Caltrans crews are at work in Del Norte County.

Two projects are on their work lists as the new year begins

On U.S. Hwy. 101, Caltrans crews are continuing their work to widen Gilbert Creek Bridge.

Work hours are 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on weekdays only. One-way traffic control is in effect during scheduled work hours.

Motorists should expect delays of 15 minutes.

A second project on U.S. Hwy. 197 involves Pacific Power crews who are trimming trees from Ashford Road to Ruby VanDeventer Park.

Work hours are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays.

One-way traffic control is in effect, with five-minute delays expected.
