In 1983 Barbara opened her home to other children and their families. She continued her passion of helping families even after her family moved up to Crescent City in 1989. She became too sick to continue the child care center at home in 2001. She then started over in 2003 and went to college and started her career working in classrooms. About ten years later Barbara became a grandmother to a gorgeous young lady, Hailey Price, and shortly after a handsome boy, Bryson Price. Barbara loved being a grandmother and was there for them whenever they needed her.
Barbara was a strong, smart and beautiful woman. She was always there to help, be your shoulder to cry on, give good advice and make you laugh.
Barbara is survived by her sister, Linda Bradfield; her brother, Danny Gregory ,and his wife, Linda Gregory; Barbara’s children, Marlaina and Bryan Price; two grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
The family will be celebrating Barbara’s life with a potluck dinner around 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 13, 2014, at Florence Keller Park in Crescent City. Another celebration for Barbara and her mother will be held down in the East Bay for all her family and friends down there. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Addie Meedom House for taking such great care of her in her last two months of life.
