• Donald Ellert Olson, 84, died Jan. 22, 2012. He was born June 7, 1927, in Grand Forks, N.D., and was a 57-year resident of Del Norte County.

Visitation will be held at Wier’s Mortuary Chapel on Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Funeral services will be at Grace Lutheran Church on Saturday at noon. Family and friends are invited for fellowship following services at the Del Norte Veteran’s Hall, 810 H St., Crescent City. Arrangements by Wier’s Mortuary Chapel of Crescent City.
