• Shirley Ann Sherman, 58, died April 18, 2011. She was born May 9, 1952.
Visitation will be held at Wier's Mortuary Chapel on Thursday from noon to 5 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Wier’s Mortuary Chapel with interment to follow at the IOOF Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements by Wier’s Mortuary Chapel of Crescent City. • Floyd Richards Sr., 88, a lifelong resident of Smith River, died Friday, April 15, 2011, in Brookings. He was born Sept. 19, 1922. Visitation will be held at Wier’s Mortuary Chapel today from 9 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m., followed by graveside services at Howonquet Cemetery in Smith River. There will be a potluck following the graveside services at the Howonquet Community Center in Smith River. Floyds requested that people dress casual for his services. Contributions may be sent in his name to any of the following: American Heart Association, 1400 N. Dutton Ave., Santa Rosa, CA 95401; American Cancer Society, 1301 Northcrest Drive, Crescent City, CA 95531 or Alzheimer’s Association , 1060 La Avenida, Mountain View, CA 94043. Arrangements are under the direction of Wier’s Mortuary Chapel of Crescent City.
