Obitiuaries: Kenneth Green Kahl(1946-2007)

Kenneth Green Kahl, 61, passed away on Oct. 18, 2007 in Crescent City. He was born on Sept. 24, 1946 in Oak Park, Ill. He was a seven-year resident of Del Norte County. Mr Kahl was a very loyal employee of Hambro Forest Products Eco-Nutrients, Inc. as a manager for five years.

He was an avid reader and was very political. He liked to keep busy, spending some of his time gathering and splitting wood and hunting. He also enjoyed walking the family dog. Kenneth, who was a good cook, would barbecue for his family. His family will remember him for enjoying his children, being a good provider, having a quick wit, and always being hospitable and very loyal to his family.

Kenneth is survived by his wife Kim Kahl of Crescent City; children Erik Kahl and Gareth Kahl both of Spokane, Wash., and Emily Kahl Skelton of England; siblings Keith Kahl and Katherine Kahl-Brause both of Astoria,Ore.; grandchildren Savannah Kahl and Mason Kahl both of Spokane, Wash., and Emma Skelton of England.

He was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Louise Kahl.

Funeral services will be held at Wier's Mortuary Chapel on Thursday, Oct. 25 at 10 a.m.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wier's Mortuary Chapel of Crescent City.
