Beatrice "Peggy" Margaret Long died April 28, 2007, in Brookings. She was 82.
She was born Nov. 2, 1924, to Henry and Beatrice (Morton) Cashmore in Brimington, England. She became a U.S. citizen in 1982.
Peggy moved from Hermitage, Penn., in 2000 to Crescent City. She was a past member of the English Club in Pennsylvania and enjoyed bowling.
She is survived by her son, Samuel H. Long of Columbus, Ga.; her daughter, Peggy DePew of Wolf Creek, Ore.; her sisters, Rose Draper of Prairie Grove, Ark., and Kath Beech of Clearlake.
She is also survived by two granchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ogle "Doc" Long in 2001, brother Harry Cashmore and her parents Henry in 1938 and Beatrice in 1952.
