Cimon Aristidies Munger, 95, died Jan. 2, 2008, in Crescent City. He was born Nov. 5, 1912 in Battle Ground, Wash., and was a 57-year resident of Del Norte County.
He married Margaret Maude Powell in 1949. He was a grader and a cat operator for Simonson and Rellim Lumber Companies prior to his retirement.
Mr. Munger was an avid gardener and enjoyed working in his yard.
He is survived by his daughter, Marie Prichett of Crescent City , her daughter, Arbetta, and husband, Mike Masters of Gold Bar, Wash., sons Cliff and his wife, Janine Pritchett of Crescent City, Lee and his wife, Anne Pritchett of Stockton, and Harley and his wife, Jill Munger, of Crescent City, brother LeRoy Munger of Ukiah, grandchildren Lyle Prichett of Reno, Nev., Carol Coulson of Forest Grove, Ore., Vickie Prichett of Sparks, Nev., Justin Munger of Riverside, Corey Munger of Crescent City, Roselyn Munger of Crescent City, Jack McDonald of Kirkland, Wash., Kiola Krienke of Seattle, Keith Stout of California, and 11 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Munger, in January 2007. Private interment will take place at the IOOF Memorial Cemetery, Crescent City. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family requests contributions to Rowdy Creek Hatchery, P.O. Box 328 Smith River, CA 95567 in Mr. Munger's memory.
