Deverous Frank was born on July 17, 1951, to Kenneth Frank and Delores Moon Frank. He passed away July 20, 2008, in Happy Camp.
He was the husband of Terri Frank for the past 36 years. He was the father of Mini Frank Robbins and her husband Tyke Robbins and Deverous Ray Frank and his fianc, Tori Sylvia.
Deverous was a grandfather to 18 grandchildren. Deverous was raised by his Grandma Minnie and had a special closeness to her. His love and respect for her is how his daughter, Mini, got her name. His respect for his father-in-law, Raymond Peters, is how his son, Deverous Ray, got his name.
Deverous leaves behind his uncles, Clyde Moon, Fred Moon, and Melvin "Bud" Moon, his aunts, Dolly Lincoln and Idell Brock; his great aunts Mildred Nixon and Ethel Casey; his sisters Myra Fiore and her husband Mike, Marline Jarnaghan and her husband Joe, Pam Frank, Gayle Frank, Elizabeth Lara-O'Rourke and her husband Greg, and Roberta Lara; and brothers Ken Frank and wife Kathy and Gerald Owens; and his grandchildren, Mardi, Aurelia, Dolli, Brenan, Cecelia, Rocky, Grizzly, Chee-shep, Dave, Derrek, Donald, Darren, Daryl, April, Mary, Taora, Namechi and Deverous.
Deverous raised his family in Happy Camp and logged all over Northern California.
A service will be held Friday at the Yurok Tribal Office in Weitchpec at 1 p.m. Friends are invited to stop by, share a story or two, and share a meal.
