Elaine Catherine Evanow, born June 9, 1931, in Washburn, Wis., died on Jan. 30, 2008. Having moved here from Bay-fied, she was a resident of Crescent City since 1952.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Parrish and the Fisherman Wife's Association.
She is survived by her children, Larry Evanow of Afton, Wyo., David and wife Joy Evanow of Crescent City, Diane Lovaas of Red Bluff, Conrad and wife Tami Evanow of Kuna, Idaho, and Steve Evanow of Crescent City; brothers and sisters, Mary Cinker of Menomonie, Wis., Susan Defoe-Prevost of Bayfield, Wis., John Shovick of New Orleans, Ken Shovick of Colorado, Richard Shovick of Oconomowoc, Wis.
She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and other relatives.
Mrs. Evanow was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bud" Evanow, son Timmy Evanow, daughter Sandy Young, parents Conrad and Lucy Shovick, brothers Bobby and Larry, sisters Shirley and Jeannie, and granddaughter Starlene Evanow.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Wier's Mortuary Chapel. Inurnment will follow services at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Wier's Mortuary Chapel of Crescent City.
