Emma Williams, 70, of Sparks, Nev., passed away Sunday, Aug. 3, 2008, surrounded by her family.
Emma was born in Crescent City to Louis and Rose Mary Gwerder on Sept. 19, 1937.
Emma grew up on a small dairy farm, where she was honored by the state as a 4-H All Star.
Emma graduated from Humboldt State University and was a sharp shooter with the Humboldt County Sheriff's Association.
Emma retired in November from the Peppermill as payroll manager.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather Paul Johnson, and her sister Annie.
She is survived by her sisters Belinda and Marsha; her brother Dwayne; four children, Alan, Jerry, Terri and Pam; four grandchildren, Joshua, Tanya, Nikki and Rachel; four great-grandchildren and "Tiki."
