Ginger Kay Lien, 27, passed away July 27, 2008 in Klamath. She was born on April 19, 1981 in Crescent City to Patricia and John Lien.

Ginger gra-duated from Margaret Keat-ing school in Klamath in 1995. She spent three years at Del Norte High and went on to graduate from Paragon High in 2000. She had many lifelong friends with whom she kept in contact with. Her favorite job was working for Redwood National Parks as a fire lookout. Ginger loved the outdoors, her family and friends. She was a beautiful person that could always be counted on. She had a heart of gold.

She is survived by her father John Lien; aunts Diane DePew, Ann German, Rosa German, Eleanor Beall, Jessica Cruz and Louyane Gertz; uncles John DePew, Michael German, Paul Beall and David Gertz; grandmother Margaret Beall; cousins Jessie DePew, Nikki German, Mandi German, Jennifer German, Isabel Beall, Fawn Beall, Marisa Gertz, Joshua DePew, Christopher German and Jason Keefer.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Lien, in May 2007. She was also preceded in death by her uncle, Rick.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, Aug. 4 at noon at the Yurok Tribal Building in Klamath.

The family requests contributions be made to St. Jude Memorial Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wier's Mortuary Chapel of Crescent City.
