James Walter Lemley
James Walter Lemley passed away on May 19, 2011, in Medford, Ore. He was born on Sept. 2, 1937, in Vancouver, Wash. James moved to Del Norte County in 1953 where he met his wife of 55 years. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a lumber grader.

James loved the lord and was a witness to many. Through foster care, he touched the lives of many. There will be a great void in the lives he touched. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He belonged to the Cornerstone Assembly of God Church.

He was an avid fisherman who loved to fish both the ocean and river.

He is survived by his wife Jean Lemley, children Kathy Breen of Bakersfield, Mike Tackett and Vic Solus of Crescent City. Eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Brother Dale Lemley and sister Florence Verbos, both of Smith River.

Memorial services will be held at the Cornerstone Assembly of God Church on Saturday, June 18, at 11 a.m.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wier’s Mortuary Chapel
