Jean Frances Borrelli, 76, of Crescent City, died July 4 atalocal hospital after a lengthy battle with cancer.
She was born to Hans Christian and Evelyn (Davis) Clausen Feb. 28, 1931, in San Francisco. She lived the last five years in Crescent City.
Jean graduated from Orville High School in 1949. She married Carl Martin in 1950. The couple had two children.
Jean was proud of her successful career in the banking business.
She enjoyed crocheting blankets for family members, and some of her favorite past-times were playing pinochle and dominoes.
For the last 12 years, Jean served faithfully as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Because she held a firm conviction in the belief of a resurrection, her hope of being re-united with her loved ones was of great comfort during her illness.
She is survived by her son, Steve (Cathy) Martin of Crescent City; her daughter, Jan Munoz of Crescent City; her brother, Bob Clausen of San Mateo; her sister, Evie Potter of Oakhurst; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her brother, Chris Clausen, and her granddaughter, Juanita Munoz.
A memorial service is scheduled at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1230 Blackwell Lane, at 6 p.m. Friday in Crescent City. Larry Crabb will be officiating.
Cremation was under the direction of Redwood Memorial Care.
