Joan Arlene Sharp passed away at home surrounded by her family Sept. 9, 2008. She was born April 26, 1943. She was a long-time resident of Crescent City.
Her mother, Dorothy Wilson still lives in Crescent City and her father, Cliff Wilson, died in a plane crash in Crescent City in the 1960s.
Joan enjoyed playing golf and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband and best friend of 49 years, Frank Sharp; son Frank Sharp Jr (Deborah) of Ely, Nev., son Jeff Sharp, son Brad Sharp (JoAnne), daughter Shellie Christensen (Mark), all of Wendover, Nev.; mother Dorothy Wilson of Crescent City, sister Beverly Ringe (Glenn) of Medford, Ore., sister Diane Kertula (Roy) of McCloud, brother Chris Wilson and brother Kirk Wilson, both of Eureka, 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Cliff Wilson, and her brother, Steve Wilson.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Baptist Church, 855 Alpine St., Wendover, Nev., today at 11 a.m.
