Leonard Michael "Mike" Lockyer, 67, died June 17, 2007, in Medford, Ore.
He was born July 5, 1939, in Oakland, to Samuel and Mary (Godfrey) Lockyer, and lived there and in Martinez before moving to Del Norte County 30 years ago.
He was a fishing guide on the Klamath River for more than 30 years. He also was volunteer fireman with the Klamath Fire Department from 1992 until 1997.
He also previously worked in Brookings for 10 years as a route manager for Roto Rooter.
He is survived by, his wife of 19 years, Terri Fassio of Klamath; his children, Sam Lockyer of Klamath and Jennie Lockyer; his step-sons, Robert and Bryan Martinez of Klamath, Jeffrey (Cathy) Rhodes of Brentwood; his brother Daniel Lockyer (Joan), of Puyallup; his sister, Lynne Waite (Douglas), of Redding; and his cousin, Bill Lockyer, of Sacramento.
He is also survived by four grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services are planned at 11 a.m. Saturday at Wier's Mortuary Chapel.
