Paul Randall Poplin, a life-long resident of Del Norte County, passed away Nov. 9, 2008. He was born August 12, 1963, at Seaside Hospital.
He enjoyed fast motorcycles, river fishing, digging for clams and horticulture. Having no children of his own, Paul loved his nieces and nephews and he had many "adopted" nieces and nephews from the many friends he had made over the years.
Survivors include sisters Judith Johnson and Donna Wardlow, both of Crescent City; niece Tracey Wardlow of Crescent City; nephew AC Tommy A. Wardlow II, stationed in Whidbey Island, Wash., with wife Jessica and great nephew Tommy A. Wardlow III; his companion Kendra Richcreek; Uncle Chuck and Sandy Huckelberry of North Bend, Ore., and numerous cousins in Crescent City and Oregon.
He was preceded in death by his father Herschel Poplin, mother Eileen Robinson, nephew Troy Wardlow and brother-in-law Joe Johnson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Bethel Christian Center, 651 J St., Crescent City, on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Arrangements are under the direction of Wier's Mortuary Chapel of Crescent City.
