Robert "Bob" Murray, 85, passed away August 14, 2011.
Born June 7, 1926, in Santa Clara, Calif., Bob was a long-time resident of Crescent City, drawn here by the beautiful views and great fishing.
Bob served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Marcus Island during World War II and then worked as an electrician with I.B.E.W. 332 until he retired with Frank’s Electric.
He was a member of the VFW, American Legion and a contributor toward
the Wounded Warrior Project, World War II Museum and the National Museum
of the Pacific War.
Bob is survived by his brother and sister-in-law Don and Claire
Murray, his children Glenn Dolfin, Nancy and Kenny Prier, Jerry and
Sherry Dolfin, Karen Murray, Colleen Murray, Bobby and Karen Murray, and
Sharon Calhoun. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and
great-grandchildren.
Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife Marian Murray, beautiful
sister Joyce, and handsome brother Bill.
