Obituaries: Robert “Bob” Thomas Parker II (Nov. 20, 1984 – July 7, 2011)

Services for Bob will be at 12 p.m., Saturday, July 16, at the Crescent City Foursquare church, Pacific Avenue.

Bob, who was 26, passed away July 7, 2011, in Medford, Ore. He was born Nov. 20, 1984, in Fortuna, Calif.

Bob attended Fort Dick Bible Academy through grade school and Del Norte High ninth through 12th grade. Bob graduated from Del Norte High in 2003.

Bob graduated in 2005 from College of the Redwoods with an Associate of Arts Degree.

Bob also graduated from the California Department of Corrections as a Correctional Officer on March 13, 2006, and accepted a position at Pelican Bay State Prison on July 1, 2006, where he has worked for the last five years.

Bob enjoyed snowboarding and skiing, water sports, skydiving, scuba diving, hiking, camping, hunting and spending time with friends and family.

Some of the common feelings expressed by Bob’s friends and family are his great smile, loving heart and living life to the fullest.

Bob is survived by his father Robert Parker I of Crescent City; mother Gail Minges of Crescent City; sister Jennifer Rider and Jennifer’s children Anna, Andrew and Allie, all of Klamath Falls, Ore.; uncle Bill Parker II of Crescent City; uncle Virgil Olson of San Jose; uncle Bruce Olson of Modesto; and aunt Susie of Peoria, Ariz.
