Robert Lorn Justice, died Oct. 23rd, 2008, after a long fulfilled life.
Born June 28, 1920, to Peyton and Bessie Justice, Bob was the youngest of 7 children. After spending most of his childhood in Riffe, Wash., he made his way to Tigard, Ore., where he met and married the love of his life Dorothy and had one beautiful daughter, Joni. In 1954 they made their way to Crescent City where Bob spent the remainder of his working days at A.C. Dutton Lumber Company. After retirement he decided to go back to work and delivered for Union Oil. Bob spent most of his free time spoiling his grandchildren and spending time with family. He loved spending time at the beach feeding the squirrels and never missed a day.
Surviving are his daughter, Joni Forsht of Smith River; six grandchildren: Rob Corpstein, Chris Corpstein, Amy Michel, Andrew Forsht, Ryan Forsht and Sam Forsht; eight great-grandchildren: Christopher Corpstein, Nick Corpstein, Jessica Corpstein, Justin Barnhill, Jordan Barnhill, Caitlin Barnhill, Ilyjah Forsht and Sofia Forsht; and one great-great-grandchild, Alyssa Corpstein.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 42 years, Dorothy, as well as five brothers, and one sister.
There will be a visitation for family and friends at Wier's Mortuary located at 408 G Street in Crescent City on Monday from noon to 5 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Wier's with graveside services immediately following. Family and friends are welcome to a fellowship to celebrate Bob's life at Torero's, 400 Highway 101, following services.
