Ronald Gene Gaddis

Ron was born to John and Peggy Gaddis on July 3, 1953, in Crescent City, where he was a 53-year resident before moving to Oregon.

He attended Redwood Elementry and Del Norte High School.

He was a man with a big love for his family and friends and loved spend-ing time with them. Ron loved talking to his friends on his CB radio under the handle “Great White.” He also enjoyed fishing, camping, drag racing and collecting anything to do with eagles.

He is survived by his mother, Peggy Gaddis of Central Point; his son, Joshua E. Gaddis Sr. of Crescent City; grand-children, Hunnie J.M. Gaddis and Joshua E. Gaddis Jr. also of Crescent City; sister, Wanda Winkelmann; brother-in-law, Jeffrey Winkelmann of Crescent City and David L. Ortman of Medford. Nieces and nephews include Melissa Golden, Terry Ortman, Jennifer Ortman and Garrick Heinze, Zachary and Kathleen Winkelmann, all of Crescent City, and Heidi and Joseph Perkins of Medford; uncles and aunts, Glenn Allen and Lisa Gaddis, Barbara Gaddis and Rosetta and William Jackson, all of Crescent City, and many more family and friends.

Ronald was preceded in death by his father, John H. Gaddis; brother, Edward A. Gaddis and sister, Linda J. Ortman.

A memorial for Ron will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, at the Bethel Christian Center, 651 J St., Crescent City. A celebration of life will be held for family and friends at the home of Ron’s sister at 420 Grant Ct. #2, Crescent City. For more info call 707-465-4818
