Obituaries: Theda Madie Jennings (1919-2007)

Theda Madie Jennings died May 7, 2007 in Yuma, Ariz.

She died after a long battle with various medical conditions as her family and Hospice of Yuma cared for her.

She was born Nov. 7, 1919 in Sioux City, Iowa.

She moved from Crescent City to Yuma as a permanent resident in 1988.

She was a 50-year member of Eastern Star, Ladies of Oriental Shrine; a charter member of Gila Mountain Methodist Church and a member of the Kofa Campers.

She loved her family, and especially enjoyed visits and calls from her children and grandchildren.

Her love of life and one of her greatest joys was doing things for her family and others, often bypassing her own needs.

She will be missed, but never forgotten.

A celebration of her life will be held at the Eastern Star Facility in Crescent City at 7 p.m. June 27.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Hospice of Yuma, 1824 S. 8th Ave., Yuma, Ariz, 85364-5517.
