Ruby Marlene Lyons-Miller
Ruby Marlene Lyons-Miller passed away on July 18, 2005, in Eugene, Ore. She was born on Aug. 19, 1942, in Hoopa. Ruby was a lifelong resident of Humboldt and Del Norte counties and was a proud member of the Yurok Tribe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Dorothy Brown, Harrison Lyons, her brother Orville Lyons, and recently departed brother, Harold Lyons, and was the widow of Larry Miller.
Ruby is survived by her children Linda and Bret Rump of Crescent City, and Gerald and John Stewart, both of Eugene, Ore.; her grandchildren Shana Early, Greg Early, Adam Rump, and Gerald Stewart, Jr. along with her great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters Delores Rodriguez, Muriel Close, and Judy Lyons, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2007, and she will be put to rest with her parents Howard and Dorothy Brown at the IOOF Memorial Cemetery. In loving memory of Ruby Lyons-Miller: Hooray for Down River!
Loni Morrison, 39, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007, in Arkansas of complications from a stroke. She was a long-time resident of Crescent City and was a Del Norte High School graduate.
Loni is survived by her husband, Patrick Morrison; her son P. J. Morrison, wife Daisy and three grandchildren, Dallas, Jordan, and a baby grand-daughter; her daughter Jamie Morrison; brother-in-law Melvin Morrison and wife Donna; sister-in-law Laurie Miller and husband Eric; brother-in-law William Morrison and wife Birdie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband's parents William Morrison and Mary Rogers.
We will miss her laugh, her smile, and her great love of life. We were blessed to know her.
