Obituaries:Herbert W. Wormsbaker (April 13, 1929 – March 12, 2011) |
Herbert W. Wormsbaker was born on April 13, 1929, in Grenville, N.M. and passed away on March 12, 2011, in San Francisco at the Veterans Hospital at Fort Miley. Herbert married Mary Joy Bell on Jan. 17, 1951, and they had 60 years of love and commitment. He was a hairdresser for 20 years, working with his wife in their own shop in Santa Ana, Calif., where they raised their children. He was a retired steam engineer from Disneyland, Anaheim, 1977. A Klamath Glen resident for over 30 years, he was a member in good standing with loyal order of the Elks, Crescent City. He volunteered for Klamath Senior Center, Klamath Fire Department and Klamath Community Center. Survivors include his wife, Mary Joy Wormsbaker, daughter Ruby Joy Gamble of Willits, son H.Wayne Wormsbaker of Marianna, MG, Brazil, brothers, Clarence Wormsbaker, Waco, Texas and Cliffton Wormsbaker, Burley, Idaho, sister Wanda Mort of Jerome, Idaho, grandchildren, Gene Brown, Dena Baumgartner, Jolene Ham and Esther Joy dos Santos Wormsbaker, great-grandchildren, Avery and Adalyn Brown. Numerous nieces and nephews. Services are Saturday at 2 p.m., March 26, 2011, at the Klamath Community Center. — Submitted by Family |
