“Waldo Bob” Robert Barry Martinson (Born Jan. 16, 1953)
“Waldo Bob” Robert Barry Martinson, 56, of Klamath, died August 6, 2009, at a local hospital of natural causes. All friends are invited to a potluck celebration of life at 1:00 p.m on Sunday, August 23, 2009, at The Riffles R.V. Park, Terwer Valley-Klamath Glen, Klamath, Calif. He was born on January 16, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois, to Mike and Rita Rose (Orrico) Silverman. He was raised and educated in Los Angeles. As a young adult he earned a bachelor's degree from the College of the Redwoods. He moved to Klamath in 1995, where he became a craftsman of Native American artifacts. He designed his own beads and cut his own shells to create beautiful necklaces, and to adorn ceremonial clothing. He had a life-long respect of Native American culture and ways. He is survived by his daughter and all who loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. Cremation was under the direction of Redwood Memorial Care.
