Anna was born on January 13, 1980, in Crescent City, and passed away on October 14, 2011, surrounded by her family and friends after a valiant battle against cancer at the age of 31.
Anna resided in Petrolia, Calif., where she was an active member of the community and was loved by all that knew her. She will be remembered for her devotion to her family and many friends, her thoughtfulness, hard work, grace, welcoming smile, twinkling eyes and passion for life. Her favorite places to spend time were at the beach collecting agates, lying in the sun along the Mattole River, and in the company of her many friends and family. Anna’s spirit touched the lives of many and we will continue to cherish our memories of her warmth and kindness for the rest of our lives.
Anna was a founding member of the Petrolia Fire Auxiliary and a
willing supporter of community and charity events. She will be dearly
missed. Anna is survived by her husband Carson Morgan, parents Ignacio
and Maria Nunez, siblings Julisa, Rene and Ashley Nunez, father- and
mother-in-law Chuck and Mary Lou Morgan and her loving dog Dashel.
Memorial services will be held Saturday November 5, at 1 p.m. at the
Mattole Grange Hall. Her family would like to express its deepest
gratitude to the incredible staff at the University of San Francisco
Medical Center.
