She graduated from Del Norte High School in 1957 and married her high school sweetheart. She worked in Crescent City at the Blair Theatres, Bank of America and Safeway. Bev had five children in Crescent City, then the family moved to Willits in 1969 and ran the Noyo Theatre. In 1974, they moved to Tennessee where she continued to cashier in grocery stores while Bill worked construction. Bev was a retired cashier at Piggly Wiggly’s in Henderson, Tenn. She loved coming to California to visit her twin sister Jan, spending time with her family and working puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Dillard Sr., and nephew Charles “Chuck” Hartwick. Survivors include twin sister Janice Hartwick of Crescent City, son Billy Dillard Jr. and daughters Belinda Yager of Kansas, Renee Ruth, Bonnie Ruth and Dana Nails, all of Tennessee. Nieces: Terri Hartwick-Colton (Mike, Courtney, Caitlyn and Karson), Stacie Hartwick and Wendy Hartwick (Vannessa, Jacob, Layton, Ciera and Cruz), 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services were held for Bev on March 3, 2014, at Pafford Funeral Home in Scotts Hill, Tenn.
