Carol Jean Clayton (Tuttle) passed away in Springfield, Ore., on October 14, 2011, at home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Wichita, Kan., on June 22, 1937, to Laburn and Mary Tuttle. Carol will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. She was a great cook and loved to have her family around her. Especially her granddaughter, Candace, who traveled with her often. Carol loved to go on camping and fishing trips with her family.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband Richard Clayton, son
Steven Mercer, parents Laburn and Mary Tuttle, brother Fred Tuttle,
sister Thais Headley and grandson Ricky Brown.
She is survived by her daughter Debra Brown and husband Rick Brown,
granddaughter Candace Brougher and husband Justin Brougher,
great-granddaughter Summer Jean Brougher, all of Springfield, Ore.,
granddaughter Sherry Alberding and husband Andy, great-grandchildren
Kyle and Kelsey Alberding all of Winston, Ore. Sisters Louise Tuttle,
Klamath, Calif., Irene Matecki, Fremont, Calif., brothers Richard Tuttle
and wife Wanda, Temecula, Calif., Pete Tuttle, Lewiston, Idaho, and
numerous nieces and nephews.
