Casey grew up in Northern California and made his home in the Bay Area. He played baseball and basketball throughout grade school in Crescent City. He was chosen for all-star teams in both little league and Babe Ruth and played for the Crescent Elk Basketball A Team in 8th grade.
He attended Grace Lutheran Church in Crescent City.
Casey attended Will C. Wood High School in Vacaville, Calif., in 2001–2004. He was listed on the National High School Who’s Who Honor list and graduated from Rodriguez High School in Fairfield, Calif., in 2005. He was a Licensed Pharmacy Technician, graduating from Blake Austin College in Vacaville in 2009.
Casey loved music and spent countless hours writing lyrics and rapping in the studio. In 2005, his talent won him the opportunity to perform on stage during a concert for Snoop Dog and The Game.
Casey was a loud and avid sports fan, loyal always to the Tennessee Titans and the L.A. Lakers, and would let you know he’d take Kobe over Jordan any day.
Casey’s larger-than-life personality and unique sense of humor were irresistible. His smile lit up the room and he made everyone he met feel like family. He encouraged us all to enjoy life, do well and stay positive. Casey’s heart was his family, and he was happiest sharing good times with them. He will be missed forever.
Casey leaves to cherish his memories his parents: Parthenia Burley of Fairfield, Calif., and Will Walker of Berkeley, Calif.; brothers Jared Walker, Vincent Jackson and Anthony Burley of Fairfield, Calif., and Justin Walker of Berkeley, Calif.; step-siblings Jean, Jace and Tabitha Pruitt; grandparents Bob and Elizabeth Freeman of Crescent City and Willie Jean Walker of Fairfield, Calif., as well as numerous aunties, uncles and cousins and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his much-loved “Papa,” Willie E. Walker, and Uncle Monroe Freeman.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 1 p.m. at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, 1850 West Texas Street, Fairfield, CA 94533. The service will be webcast live. Information on the live webcast can be accessed on the mortuary website at BryanBraker.com.
