Obituary: Charles Christopher Wheeler (Sept. 30, 1987 - Nov. 10, 2009)

Charles loved music, computers and especially soccer. He helped the coach for his son, Caleb’s team, the Blue Sharks. Charles once said that he wanted his sons to be in soccer like he was, because it involves hard work, teamwork and dedication. He was determined to be a soccer coach next year. Charles was also very active in his family’s lives. He loved to take his 2 1/2-year son Joshua on walks, especially to Dutch Bros. as he loved his coffee!! He loved to go to the park and play games with his son, Caleb and he loved to walk on the beach with his wife, Donna. On their first date he took her on a yacht ride on the ocean. They had a blast together!

Charles is survived by his wife, Donna Wheeler; sons, Caleb Segroves and Joshua Wheeler; mother, Catherine (Kit) Wheeler; grandmother, Marshia Loar-Cooper; brothers, Graham, Leland, AJ and Thomas Wheeler and Cian Burley; sister, Mary Wheeler and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews that loved him very much. Charles’s death was a tragedy to everyone who knew him, he IS AND FOREVER will be greatly loved and missed. We all love you Charles!

Contributions may be made to the memory of Charles Wheeler at US Bank, 1020 3rd St., Crescent City, CA 95531. Memorial services were held on Tuesday, November 17, at the Foursquare Gospel Church. Arrangements were under the direction of Wier’s Mortuary Chapel.
