Obituary: Diana Lynn Willis (May 8, 1963 – Nov. 5, 2011)

Diana was born May 8, 1963, in Alameda, Calif. She passed away on November 5, 2011, at the age of 48 in San Francisco. She had been a resident of Crescent City for the past 21 years. Diana started her career for the California Department of Corrections Rehabilitation at Folsom State Prison as a Correctional Officer. In 1990, she transferred to Pelican Bay State Prison, where she was promoted to Correctional Sergeant.

Diana was preceded in death by her father, James Edward Willis, and her brother, Bennie Ray Marshall. Diana is survived by her husband, Larry M. Williams, her mother, Louise Willis, her son, James “Brandon” Willis, daughter-in-law, Lyubov Willis and her brother, Jack Q. Marshall, and nephews, Jason and Eric Marshall. She was loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
