Obituary: Dolores D. Robinson (Jan. 28, 1926-Apr. 23, 2009) |
Dolores D. Robinson Jan 28, 1926 - Apr. 23, 2009 Dolores D. Robinson, 83, passed away of natural causes on April 23, 2009 in Crescent City. She was born on January 28, 1926 in Redding to Ernest & Wanda Elder. Dolores was a 61 year resident of Del Norte County. She was the co-owner of Fred Robinson Trucking, a former waitress at the old Rowland's Restaurant, assisted in opening her daughter's restaraunts in Arizona, and former owner/operator of Robinson Storage. For enjoyment, Dolores loved clam digging, gardening, bowling, reading, bingo, and playing Canasta. She also enjoyed entering her gladioluses, roses, carnations and other flowers to the county fair, in which she frequently won first place on her entries. She was a member of the Del Norte Bowling Association and local Ladies' Birthday Club. She was known for her famous Razor Clam Feeds for family and friends. She is survived by her children Theodore (Ted) & wife Brenda Robinson of Crescent City, Vikki & husband Dean Fenner of Klamath Falls, Ore. and Dianne & husband Julian Muniz of Parker, Ariz. Brothers Ernest (Marion) & wife Dorothy Elder of Sacramento, Jerry & wife Tassina Elder and Ronald & Sharon Elder of Redding. Sister Naomi Mauldin of Crescent City. She dearly loved her eight grand-children and eight great-grandchildren, and num-erous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred J. Robinson in 1981. A Celebration of Life open house will be held from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 25th, at Ted's house at 180 James Road, Crescent City, for friends and family.
