A veteran, Boyd joined the Marine Corps and served his country during the Korean Conflict. After leaving the Marine Corps, he moved to Crescent City and started his family.
Boyd worked at various lumber mills and later became a shareholder at Medford Plywood. Later in life, he bought a commercial fishing boat, The Popey, and fished his boat until he no longer was able to.
Boyd loved his beautiful wife Angelina. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushrooming, and spending time with his family and friends.
Boyd is survived by his loving wife Angelina, daughter Pamela Aguilar; son Ernest “Rowdy” Boyd Capshaw Jr (Teena); daughter Robin Huff (Calvin); daughter Tracy Lawson (Mark); his grandsons Ryan Taylor, Maxwell Aguilar and Dexter and Tanner Lawson; and granddaughters Casey, Chellsea and Callee Huff and Makayla Capshaw. He also leaves behind numerous great-grandchildren and, of course, his loving and loyal dog, Poppy.
Boyd was preceded in death by his loving parents Joseph and Estelle Capshaw, his stepfather Lee Roy Standridge and great-grandson Ignacio Nacho Jasso.
