Sharp
 Garrett Lloyd Sharp, 90, a veteran of WWII, passed away Aug. 8, 2013, in Crescent City. Garrett was born Feb 22, 1923, in Watertown, N.D.

He met Helen Guinn in 1941, and they were married in Gatesville, Texas, in 1944. They moved in 1955 from Portland, Ore., to Crescent City, where they established their home. Garrett worked hard his whole life as a millwright, logger and fisherman.His first wife passed away in 2005 and he remarried Ann Hamm in 2006. He and Ann enjoyed time together by traveling and spending time with family and friends.

 

Garrett is survived by Ann, his wife of seven years; daughter Donna; step-son Mike Hamm and step-daughter Laurie Ard; also by his grandchildren, Lacey and Tyler Chapman, and three great-granddaughters, Michelle, Kayleen and Natalie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Del and Pearl Sharp, and nine of his eleven brothers and sisters.

Celebration of Life services are  pending and will be announced at a later date.

The family prefers that contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America either online or by mail, 322 Eighth Ave. 7th Fl., New York, NY 10001.
