A Veteran of World War II, Homer met his wife of 59 years while
attending San Jose State. During his 15 years at IBM, Homer serviced
computers used at the Standford University Linear Accelerator. In 1967
Homer moved to Crescent City to build and operate the KOA Campground.
After selling the KOA, Homer and Joanne bought the McNulty House and
developed a Gallery for Art and Antiques during which time he became a
Master Framer and an established Clocksmith. Homer was an active
participant in Crescent City United Methodist Church, Amateur Radio
Club, Kiwanis, American Legion, Elks Lodge, Masonic Order, Shiners, Jed
Smith Mountain Men, and Tsunami Sam's Travel Club. Homer enjoyed life,
especially his family and friends, German food, Big Band music and pipe
organs.
Survived by wife, Joanne Dale, son, Craig Dale, daughter Leesa Klotz,
grandchildren, Stewart Dale, Wilson Dale, Andrew Klotz, and Olivia
Klotz.
