James Dale Proctor Sr.  passed away on September 29,  2009, in Klamath. He was born on the Klamath River on February 25,  1926. He was a Navy  Veteran, having served during WW II with honors. James was a Yurok Tribe member. He worked in the timber industry as a heavy duty operator and was a fishing guide. James  lived in Alaska the past two years, with his grandchildren James W. and Juanita Proctor and their families. He moved back to Klamath to live his remaining life at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, James Jr, and Mary Proctor.

He is survived by four children and their spouses, numerous grandchildren, great-grand children and numerous other relatives. He will be loved and missed.

Per his request no services are planned.  Arrangements are under the direction of Wier's Mortuary Chapel of Crescent City.
