John was a very loving and caring soul, always had a good thing to say about people. He enjoyed long walks with his wife along Lake Earl Drive. He loved the ocean, loved his family and church and most of all, through his wonderful sense of humor, he loved the simple pleasures in life by bringing a smile and laughter to anyone who crossed his path. John is greatly loved and missed by all of his family and friends who have had the pleasure of knowing such a very special, one-of-a-kind person.
Per John’s wishes, there will be no service held for him. John chose to have his body donated to science to help encourage and live on in others, so “get my passport ready.”
He leaves his very loving and devoted wife of 49-plus years, Hazel Mary Diviak; his three doting children: son Brian (Ann), daughter Julie, son Dave; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three very proud brothers: Dennis (Marty), Jerry (Joanne), Steve; all their children and families; half-siblings: Mitch (Ramona), Roger (Denise), John J., William (Anita), Darren, Maureen Tovar (Dennis).
