Kenneth Grover Jones passed away on Dec. 21, 2012. He was 67 years old.
Kenneth was born on Dec. 29, 1944 in Klamath, Calif. He was a life-long resident of Del Norte County.
Kenneth will be missed by many and he was loved by many. He was larger than life with a boisterous laugh that would fill a room. He led a full life and knew many childhood friends, Navy friends, good time friends, college friends, casino friends, tribal leadership friends and of course his family.
Kenneth loved his family, his Yurok heritage and the little things in life. Spending time with his grandchildren Tylor and Carter or playing with his dog “Mister” or reading a good book, and we can’t forget, playing some good live action poker.
Kenneth was taken too soon from all of us. He will be deeply missed and loved always.
Kenneth is survived by his wife Lu Ella Jones of Klamath; daughter Kendra Jones and husband Gabe of Crescent City; grandchildren Tylor Jones and Carter Jones; stepdaughter Lisa Warren and husband Jason of Nampa, Idaho; grandchildren Jason Cooley and James Cooley; siblings Richard Jones of Eureka; Marvin Jones of Crescent City; Barbara Mc Nertney of Eureka and many other relatives but to many to mention.
He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Jones; mother Adeline McCovey; father Clifford Nathaniel Jones; siblings Clifford “Porky” Jones; Harold Jones; Clifton Jones; Shirley Jones; Edith Jones; Larry Jones and Teri Jones.
