Levi William Haynes, 35, went to be with his beloved brother Chuckles on January 24, 2012, in Humboldt County. Levi was born on March 10, 1976, in Crescent City to Charlie and Jan Haynes.
He attended local schools and was very active in sports. Levi graduated from Sunset High School in 1994 and pursued a career in logging like his father because he loved the outdoors.
He had two beautiful daughters with Melanie Currie Barry. Mateha and Sydni meant the world to him and he loved them with all his heart.
Levi enjoyed hunting, fishing and many outdoor activities. He spent
time with his girls as often as he could and loved attending their
sports activities and anything else they were involved in. Levi was a
big-hearted person who always put others before himself.
Levi will be greatly missed by many, especially his two daughters
Mateha and Sydni Haynes and surviving family members which include his
parents Charlie (Becki) Haynes; Jan Haynes and Steve Pyke, brother
Jeremiah Haynes, his stepsister Sara Conner, stepbrother Josh Conner,
niece Bella Haynes, stepson Ty Barry, uncle Chuck Jeppson; aunt Susan
Short-Evanow, cousins Jennifer, Carrenan, Tyler and Michael and local
cousins Heather (Alfred) Larson, Shellie Duncan, Hollie (John) Maready
and their families.
Levi was preceded in death by Charles John Haynes and Steven Dale Short.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in his
memory to his daughters’ college fund at Chetco Federal Credit Union.
Memorial services will be held at Cornerstone Assembly of God Church,
1281 Douglas Street, Crescent City, on Tuesday, January 31, at 11 a.m.
