Lillian Mae Pasley passed away from natural causes on May 12, 2014, in Crescent City while surrounded by loved ones. Essie and John Bowles’ daughter was brought into this world on April 12, 1942, in Arkansas.
A fisherman and the catch of his life founded their home in Crescent City, 20 years ago. Before beginning their last chapter on the coast, she and her family made a home and owned businesses in and around Carson Hill, Calif.
Lillian had a “heart of gold.” She lived a long fulfilling life. Lillian loved to fish and dig in the dirt. She found joy in sharing her stories and lending an ear to hear others. It warmed her heart to be able to spend precious moments watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren play and grow. Lillian instilled valuable lessons and courteous ways into her children’s lives to one day be passed down generation to generation.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Buford Earl Pasley, daughters Sue Stein and Rhonda Pasley Gray, parents Essie and John Bowles, and ten brothers and sisters.
To carry on her memory and keep her spirit alive, she is survived by her brother Van Bowles, her daughter Dona Winans; sons-in-law Curtis Stein and Mikey Gray; her proud grandchildren Tony, Tina, Lisa, Haley, Regina, Ricky, Bobby, Heather, Andy and 19 beautiful great-grandchildren.
