Obituary: Lois M. (Schnepp) Fraedrick (

Lois M. (Schnepp) Fraedrick, aged 76, passed away peacefully at her home on June 3 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Rapid City, S.D., to Donald and Thelma Schnepp, early in her life they moved to North Plains, Ore., where she graduated from grade school. The family then moved to Smith River in 1952, where

Lois attended and then graduated from Del Norte High School in the class of ‘56. Lois married Irvin Sarina, where they spent many years making a life together living in Smith River surrounded by a growing horde of nephews and nieces whom she greatly adored.

In the mid ‘70s Lois moved to Leaburg, Ore., where she met the second love of her life, Everett (Bud) Fraedrick, and they moved into the shadows of the Rockies deep in the heart of Montana, where they spent the next decade traveling the back trails of Montana on horseback. Lois then returned again to Smith River to live out her final years.

Lois was preceded in death by both her parents and sister Shirley Richards, as well as both husbands. She is survived by her brother Charles Schnepp and his wife Sue of Smith River and her sister Joy Florendo and her husband Robert of Montague, Calif. She will forever be known as Auntie to a still growing horde.

As per Lois’ last requests there will be no services. There will be a private family internment followed by a celebration of life gathering at a later date. Lois also requested no goodbyes and no tears, just a simple see you later.
