She was born to Donald and Della Logan and was sister to James, Donald and David Logan; she was the mother of Ronald Lawrence Bidner.
She is survived by her brother, David Logan; grandchildren Nicki Bidner Lockwood, Macy Bommelyn, Wesley Cole and Isaac Bidner; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews and lifelong friends.
Mimmsy lived in Del Norte County for about 60 years. She had many hobbies and was a collector of unique treasures she called her “Stuff.” She spent many years on the Yurok Reservation as a fostering spirit. She enjoyed canning fish, veggies, making jam and preserving fruit. She loved cooking and spending time in the kitchen.
She was an artist who enjoyed painting, pencil and ink art, pastels, watercolors, sculpting and pottery. She enrolled at every art class she could at DN College of the Redwoods.
Another one of her artisan features was with beads. She collected beads and would bead jewelry with many different beads and shells for gifts that many of her family and friends still wear today.
She had a green thumb for gardening and growing amazing flowers and houseplants. Her friends would often leave with starts from one or more of her houseplants. Her fuchsia and honeysuckle flowers would often bring in her favorite hummingbird and butterfly friends.
Grandma Mimmsy will be missed by those who knew and loved her; though she is gone she will never be forgotten.
