Pamela A. Stock passed away March 1, 2012, of a tragic car accident. She was 67 years old.
Pamela was born Pamela A. Petit, on April 5, 1944. She was born to Arthur Petit and Helen Hordensky-Petit. She worked for General Dynamics for many years. She married Darrell L. Stock Sr. in 1979. Her husband Darrell also died of injuries sustained in the car accident. Pamela was a member of the Red-Hat society.
Pamela studied architecture and fine arts and graduated with an Associate’s degree.
Pamela loved gardening, and had a special passion for gladiolas, lilacs, and vegetables that she could prepare for her family. Her succotash recipe was always a hit around the holidays. Her hobbies included collecting paper weights, collecting sea glass and rooster ornaments. She loved the ocean and could sit for hours watching the waves and listening to the sea. Sometimes she even fed a seagull that stopped by for an occasional snack; she affectionately named him “Johnathan.”
Pamela is survived by her step-children: Darrell L. Stock Jr. of South Jordan, Utah, Cheryl A. Stock-Tadeo of Paradise, Calif., and Richard W. Csubak of Sterling, Conn. Her step-grandchildren are Joaquin E. Stock-Tadeo, Rebecca J. Stock-Tadeo, Morris Z. Stock-Csubak, and Jeremiah G. Stock-Csubak.
She was a resident of Ledyard, Conn., for ten years and then retired and lived within the Siskiyou Mountains near the scenic Klamath River in Calif. She also lived in Crescent City.
