Patsy Lorraine Baker Hammonds, 75, of Crescent City, died Jan. 3, 2013, at Sutter Coast Hospital.
She was born Aug. 18, 1937, in Los Angeles, to Valley and Ruby Baker. She graduated from Stockton High School. She attended nursing school at O’Conner Hospital in San Jose. Patsy was a surgical nurse for 32 years in the Central Valley. She married Kenneth Ruben Hammonds in Modesto, Calif., on Nov. 15, 1959. Her husband of 47 years, and brothers-in-law Lloyd McKibben and James Newman, preceded her in death.
Survivors include Audrey and Jack Carlozzi and John Baker of Oregon, Vera McKibben of Modesto, Linda and Ron Brown of San Jose and Jackie Newman of Texas; sons and daughters-in-law Kenneth and Judi Hammonds and Keith and Virginia Hammonds of Alaska. Daughters and sons-in-law Kelly and Steven Worley of Crescent City and Karla and Tim DuBois of Oregon.
Grandchildren include Lakota and Walter Wilson and Kaylene DuBois of Oregon; Kenneth Arthur, John and Dusty, Keith Jr., Jeffrey, Ashley, Amber, and Dustin, all of Alaska; and Annette and David, Andrew and Amanda, Joshua, Isaiah, Leticia, Eric and Fritha, all of California.
Great-grandchildren include John Jr. and Charity of Alaska and Andrea, Juliet, Aaron, Roman, David Thomas, and Aiden all of California.
Numerous other family members and friends. All who had the pleasure of knowing our loved Patsy. She will be forever in our hearts.
A celebration of life potluck will be at 11 a.m. Feb. 9, 2013, at the Lighthouse Christian Fellowship church in Orick, Calif.
