Peggy was born October 20, 1944, in Caraway, Ark. She moved to Detroit, Mich., as a child, and that is where she spent most of her childhood. Moving to the state of Washington after she married, Peggy had five children who became her whole life. She was the grandma whom the grandchildren couldn’t wait to spend the summer with. Her whole life was her children and grandchildren. She loved baseball, camping and baking with the grandkids. Every summer she looked forward to the “great campout” where all the grandkids were invited. She planned and made lists for weeks in advance.
Peggy loved spring because that is when baseball would start. She loved watching baseball but would have to turn the channel every once in a while because she just couldn’t take any more. Peggy always made every day a little sunnier and a little more entertaining.
Surviving are daughter Alissia Northrup and husband Mark of Crescent City; son Dewey Wilson and fiancée Laura of Morton, Wash.; daughter Nancy Wilson of Crescent City; daughter Katherine Parrish and husband Steve of Yuma, Ariz.; son Aaron Wilson and wife Christy of Orting, Wash.; and 16 grandchildren: Jordan, Katie, Noah, Taylor, Aerial, Trevor, Skylee, Diego, Megan, Mike, Emma, Ashley, Parkre and Spencer; as well as three great-grandchildren. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Edna Langley; brothers, Bill and Mike; and sisters, Sam and Leoda. She will also be holding grandbabies Anthony and DJ, who left this world before her.
