He was born on June 13, 1973, to JoAnn James and Dale Kenneth Spargur in Crescent City. He was proud of his Native heritage and proud that he was a member of the Smith River Rancheria. He enjoyed the outdoors, but most of all his heart’s desire was to continue his education and become an accountant or lawyer. He always said you could never trust those people so he would become one and watch over his own valuables … then laugh his thunderous laugh he had.
Phillip is survived by his mother JoAnn James; sisters Krysti (Nicci) Dunn, Jennifer Barnes, Delfy Monks; brothers Patches Conway, Robert Spargur. He is also survived by his grandmother Frances Snider, great-aunt and uncle Mert and Ellis Waggoner, aunt Beverley Nuttall, aunt and uncle Mary and Rick Anderson, and aunt and uncle Wanda and John Green.
Phillip was preceded in death by his father Dale Spargur, grandmother Ruth Pope, great-grandparents Ollie and Andrew James, Frances and Archie Roberts, grandfather Ronald (Joe) Snider, aunt Angela Jones and uncle Gale Spargur.
