Obituary: Roberta Hague Rogers (Feb. 7, 1923 – Oct. 19, 2011) |
Roberta Hague Rogers, 88, passed away on October 19, 2011, in Crescent City. She was born on February 7, 1923, in Ashton, Ill., to Robert and Lula Sanders. Roberta was a 44-year resident of Del Norte County, having moved here from Ventura County. She was a member of the Crescent City Women’s Club and Bridge Club, which was her passion. Roberta also enjoyed going for long walks, fishing, hiking with her children and grandchildren and gardening. She and her husband were the original owners of the “Under Sea Gardens” now known as Ocean World. They were also the original owners of the Northcoast Spa and Racket Ball, now known as The Club. Roberta is survived by her children Barbara Hague and husband Michael Frogner; Joe II and wife Kathy Hague, Mary Ann Hague and husband Jack Makela; grandchildren Erica and Keith, Casey and Margaret, Alex, Kristina, Raili and great-grandchildren Cody and Chase. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Hague and daughter Deborah Charley. Contributions may be made to the Crescent City Women’s Club, P.O. Box 616, Crescent City, CA 95531.
