Obituary: Sharon Marie Foucek (July 10, 1940 – May 2, 2012) |
Sharon Marie Foucek born July 10, 1940, to George and Helen Foucek, in Omaha, Neb., passed away May 2, 2012, in Auburn, Calif. At her request there will be no funeral service. Her ashes are to be scattered at sea. Sharon was a violinist, artist, quilter, teacher and a counselor. She was a Dominican Sister of Mission San Jose 1966–1971. She inspired and touched many lives and hearts in California, New York and Vermont, sharing her many creative talents. She enjoyed nature and the outdoors. Her sense of humor and free spirit and love of laughter will be remembered. Preceded in death by her parents, George and Helen Foucek, two infant brothers, her special cat KC. Survived by siblings Carol Cope, Georjean Foucek-Sinopoli, Albert (Dottie) Foucek, Melody (Joe) Hadley, Barbara Montgomery and 16 nieces and nephews.
