Sue Ann Prauss, 63, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and cherished friend, passed away peacefully following a long illness on August 17, 2012, in Medford, Ore.
Sue Ann was born in Medford and raised in Crescent City. Sue Ann was the oldest daughter of Charles and Patricia Williams. She attended local schools and graduated from Del Norte High School in 1967.
Growing up Sue Ann enjoyed spending her summers with her family working at Dad’s Camp in Klamath. Following high school Sue Ann attended Marinello beauty college in San Rafael, Calif., where she obtained her cosmetology license. Sue Ann then returned to Crescent City and worked for Lola’s beauty salon. In 1972 Sue Ann married Tim Prauss and they had two boys Steven and George Prauss.
The family later moved to Central Point, Ore., where the boys grew up and Sue Ann spent many weekends scouring local garage sales. Her favorite activities included camping, cooking, jigsaw puzzles, and she adored spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Patricia Williams, brother Steve Williams, grandparents Raynard and Lydia Sawyer, and Harry and Ethel Williams.
Survivors include Tim Prauss, sons Steven and George Prauss; grandchildren including Zachary, Dakota, and Taylinn Prauss. Brother Chuck Williams (Holly) and sister Stormi Turner (Ken), nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to her father’s scholorship fund, The Charles Williams Memorial Scholarship at Tri-Counties Bank, 936 3rd, Street, Crescent City, CA 95531
A Memorial Service for Sue Ann is set for 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 25, at Wier’s Mortuary Chapel.
