Wilma Mildred Lewis passed away on May 12, 2009, in Crescent City. She was born on September 8, 1925, in Roseville, Calif. Wilma was a 24-year resident of Del Norte County. She attended Cornerstone Assembly of God Church and Redwood Family Church. Wilma and her husband Victor ministered at Alder Camp in Klamath where she sang as the soloist. She also enjoyed singing in church choirs.
Wilma is survived by her husband Victor Lewis of Crescent City, son Michael Edward Throop of Ventura, Calif., Five grandchildren, Matthew Taylor, Stephen Taylor, Brandy Throop, Scott Throop, Tony Throop and numerous other relatives. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents Frank & Flora Purcell, daughter Marjorie Taylor, brothers Homer, Clifford, Herbert and sisters Ruth, Naomi and Alice. Graveside services will be held on Monday, May 18th at 1:00 P.M. the Visalia District Cemetery, Visalia, Calif. Arrangements are under the direction of Wier’s Mortuary Chapel of Crescent City, Calif.
